Wake up Japan to the great movie theater experience / Meeting #383

Chofu Freeflight Toastmasters Club held its 383rd meeting at the Chofu Civic Cultural Center Tazukuri and online. 

 7 member and 1 guest enjoyed the meeting with insightful speeches. The club found and veteran, TM K talked about Japan’s weakened economy based on his recent business trip experience to Europe, calling out for effective pay raise. Another veteran, TM Y talked about the drop in movie theater goers and the importance of the activity in our society. 

Table topics were prepared by a new member TM K. We made short instant speeches in Japanese based on questions prepared by her, ranging from why penguins can’t fly to why diseases like Malaria haven’t been eliminated to why pedestrian bridges have been disappearing. 

 The next meeting will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 14:00-16:00 at the Chofu Civic Cultural Center Tazukuri and online. 

 調布フリーフライト・トーストマスターズクラブは、調布市民文化センター「たづくり」とオンラインにて第383回例会を開催しました。 

 会員7名とゲスト1名が参加し、示唆に富んだスピーチを楽しみました。クラブのベテランであるTM K氏は、最近のヨーロッパ出張の経験に基づき、日本の経済低迷について語り、効果的な賃上げの必要性を訴えました。同じくベテランのTM Y氏は、映画館への来場者数の減少と、映画館が社会において果たす役割の重要性について語りました。 

 テーブルトピックスは、新会員のTM K氏が担当しました。ペンギンが飛べない理由、マラリアなどの病気が根絶されない理由、歩道橋が姿を消していく理由など、用意された質問に基づき、日本語で短い即興スピーチを行いました。 

 次回の例会は、5月9日（土）14:00～16:00、調布市民文化センターたづくりとオンラインにて開催されます。
