第272回例会報告 272nd regular meeting report

「残暑厳しい中、第272回例会がオンラインで行われました。今回は、エリアディレクターや他クラブ会長など、ゲストの方３名をお迎えしました。即興スピーチは、ベテランのYさんの鋭い社会への問題関心のもと、アフガニスタン情勢やコロナ対応の状況など、時事的な事柄について頭をフル回転するお題が続きました。ベストはロックダウンの可否について説得的にスピーチしたエリアディレクターMさんです。準備スピーチは日本語と英語を各１本ずつでした。パラリンピックの魅力、日本や日本人の特徴について考察する視野を広げたり、漠然と思っていることについて整理することができたスピーチでした。これらのスピーチに対する論評も、スピーチを注意深く聴き、具体的な改善提案を的確に伝えられていました。

忙しい毎日の中でも、常に色々なことに関心を持ち続けたいと感じる例会でした。」

次回は9月11日(土)14時～　オンライン例会になります。

"The 272nd regular meeting was held online in the harsh heat of the summer. This time, we welcomed three guests, including the area director and the presidents of other clubs. The improvisational speech was given to Mr. Y, a veteran of the society. With interest in the issue of Afghanistan, the topic of full-blown current affairs such as the situation in Afghanistan and the situation of corona response continued. The preparatory speech was one in Japanese and one in English. It was a speech that allowed me to broaden my perspective on the appeal of the Paralympics, the characteristics of Japan and the Japanese people, and to sort out my vague thoughts. The commentary on these speeches also listened carefully to the speeches and accurately conveyed specific improvement suggestions.

Even though I was busy every day, it was a regular meeting that I always wanted to keep interested in various things. "
