2021-2022年度スタート!

毎年７月がトーストマスターズクラブの新年度になるため、今期初の例会でした。今回も東京の状況下からオンラインでしたが、離れていても顔が見え、声を聴けるのは安心感がありますね。

幸先よく、新しいメンバーの入会、また、見学くださった方の入会表明と嬉しいことがたくさんありました。多様なテーマのテーブルトピック（即興スピーチ）に続き、準備スピーチは１本でしたが内容は濃く、福島の原発事故がもたらしたものを映像とともに深く考えさせるものでした。その後、今期会長によるワークショップがありました。トーストマスターズの活動により得られるものを振り返り意義を考える新年度にふさわしいテーマでした。トーストマスターズでの実践がスピーチに限らず、日常生活やビジネスシーンなど、多くの場面で役に立つことがメンバーの実感から浮かび上がりました。今年度も楽しく切磋琢磨していきましょう！

Every Year in July is the new year of the Toastmasters Club, so it was the first meeting of the season. This time, I was online under the circumstances of Tokyo, but I can see my face even if I am away, and it is safe to be able to hear my voice.

Fortunately, there were many things that I was happy with, such as the joining of new members and the admission of those who visited. Following a variety of table topics (impromptu speeches), there was only one preparatory speech, but the content was deep, and it was a deep thought with images of what the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident brought. After that, there was a workshop by the chairman this term. It was a theme suitable for the new fiscal year to look back on what can be gained through toastmasters activities and consider the significance. It emerged from the members' feeling that the practice at Toastmasters is useful not only in speeches, but also in many situations such as daily life and business scenes. Let's have fun working hard this year!
