Small Meeting, Big Opportunities: New Faces Shine at Our 385th Meeting! / 少人数だからこその好機！第385回例会で新人メンバー

Chofu Free Flight Toastmasters Club held its 385th meeting on May 23, both at the Chofu Tazukuri Civic Cultural Center and online. 

With only six members participating, it was a great opportunity for three new faces to take on important roles to run the meeting. For example, TM Y served as the General Evaluator for the first time while also acting as the Grammarian. 

For the prepared speeches, veteran TM Y spoke about care robots, and TM I discussed extreme capitalism, comparing US and Japanese stock prices. 

The Table Topics Master, TM K, challenged us with controversial economic topics such as semiconductors, plastics, rice prices, and the logistics labor shortage. The Best Table Topics Speaker award went to TM I, who suggested we rethink plastic packaging. 

Additionally, our Area Director, TM O, paid us a visit and shared valuable insights about the Toastmasters organization. 

The next meeting will be held on Saturday June 13th, 14:00-16:00 at the Tazukuri Room 1102.

調布フリーフライトトーストマスターズクラブは5月23日、調布市文化会館たづくりおよびオンラインにて、第385回例会を開催しました。 

参加メンバーは6名と少人数でしたが、その分、3名の新人メンバーが例会運営の重要な役割に挑戦する絶好の機会となりました。例えば、TM Yさんは文法係（Grammarian）を兼任しながら、初めて総合司会（General Evaluator）を務め上げました。 

準備スピーチでは、ベテランのTM Yさんが「介護ロボット」について、TM Iさんが日米の株価を比較しながら「行き過ぎた資本主義」についてスピーチを行いました。 

テーブルトピックス（即興スピーチ）マスターのTM Kさんは、半導体、プラスチック、米価、物流の人手不足など、経済に関する一歩踏み込んだテーマを出題しました。

ベストテーブルトピックススピーカー賞は、プラスチック包装のあり方について再考を促したTM Iさんが獲得しました。 

さらに、エリアディレクターのTM Oさんにもお越しいただき、トーストマスターズの組織について詳しくお話しいただきました。 

次回は6月13日（土）14時ー16時、調布たづくり１１０２会議室で開催します。
