第359回例会報告 -- Meeting No. 359 report

調布フリーフライト・トーストマスターズ・クラブは4月12日、第359回例会を調布市民文化会館「たづくり」1103会議室で開催しました。

Toastmaster of the day（TMOD）は、オンライン参加のSさん、Table Topic Masterは2カ月前に入会した期待の新人のSさん、General EvaluatorはEさんが務め、準備スピーチは、ベテランのYさんとKさんが披露しました。エリアディレクターのSさん、非会員のMさん、Eさんがゲストとして来てくださいました。

当クラブ恒例のウォーミングアップ・セッションでは、TMODのSさんが「ワニがいる川の話」を使って個人の考え方の違いを導き出し、興味深いセッションをリードしました。

初めてTable Topic Masterを務めたSさんは、想像力をかきたてるイラストをあしらったスライドを準備して、江戸時代にこだわった質問を英語で繰り広げ、盛り上げました。ベストTable Topic Speaker はEさんでした。

Kさんの準備スピーチは「縁あって」と題し、調布に引っ越すことになったいきさつについて話し、Yさんは「Do nothing vacation」と題し、「何もしない休暇」の価値を伝えました。

General EvaluatorのEさんは、久々のGEの役割に若干戸惑いつつも、立派に役目を果たしました。

次回は4月26日（土）14:00〜16:00　調布たづくり601会議室で開きます。

The Chofu Freeflight Toastmasters Club held its 359th meeting on April 12, at a meeting room in the Chofu Civic Center Tazukuri. 

Mr. S took the role of the Toastmaster of the Day, another Mr. S who joined the club 2 months ago challenged the Table Topic Master role, and Ms. E was in charge of the General Evaluator. Club veterans — Mr. K and Mr. Y delivered their prepared speeches. The Area Director Ms. S, non-members Mr. M and Ms. E participated as guests. 

 For the warming-up session, the Chofu Club’s tradition, Mr. S, the TMOD prepared the Alligator River Story to bring out the differences within us. 

 Ms. S, the first-time Table Topic Master prepared English questions with the Edo Period as the theme as well as slides with illustrations that help our imagination. The best Table Topic Speaker was awarded to Ms. E. 

Mr. K talked about his ties with Chofu city for his prepared speech, while Mr. Y talked about how valuable it is to go on vacations with no plan. 

Lastly our GE, Ms. E had a little confusion in the beginning but completed a wonderful session.

The next 360th Meeting will be held on Saturday April 26 at Chofu Tzukuri No. 601 meeting room.
